Grace is joy beyond words.
It relieves us of the burden of trying to follow laws that we were never able to adhere to in the first place.
My words are stumbling over each other in an effort to attempt to define GOD'S GRACE, but it seems each syllable comes up woefully short of getting near enough to do it justice. When HE died for me; when HE suffered for me; when HIS stripes healed me; HE placed upon me HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. How does one explain that?
When I became HIS, the desire to sin diminished exponentially. HE forgave my frailty. HE placed me upon a road I didn't even know was there. How do you thank someone for giving up all they had and suffering, then dieing for you? I think the only way is to live for HIM. I fail daily at living up to my own expectations of what I think THE LORD requires of me, but daily HE Blesses me and watches over me in ways I cannot understand.
My soul is forever entangled with HIM. Tears of wonder stream down my face as I consider what more HE has to offer me that I can barely breathe.
My LORD and my SAVIOR loves me and that is all that seems to matter.

What Do You Do When...
What do you do when a friend suddenly dies and you haven't spoken to them in awhile? Not that you didn't want to talk with them, it just worked out that way.
I had two friends who passed within the last 2 or 3 years.
One was a gentleman I knew for many years. When we first met, I was already a Christian and he winced every time I spoke of JESUS or GOD or anything from Scripture. He took down my poster I put up and I dug it out of the trash and put it back in the same spot. This happened several times. The last time it was crumpled. I dug it out of the trash, straightened it, laminated it and put it back in the same spot. It was never removed again. Now, I never actually saw him do it, but he was the only one with enough brass to do such a thing.
In spite of his harshness toward anything GOD, we developed a peculiar kind of friendship. I never pushed JESUS on him and he quit being antagonistic (at least in front of me) toward the Gospel. A soft answer turns away wrath.
He died at a young age - less than 60. I don't know where in Eternity he is now. I can only hope than in those last few moments, like the thief on the Cross, he gave himself over to THE LORD. While I don't think people should wait for a death-bed conversion, they do occur or HE would not have said so in Scripture (the thief on the Cross).
My other friend was a lady I had known for many more years. We had attended Church together. We went places together. Then we just stopped. There was no falling out, no argument. I hadn't seen her in more than a year when I saw her name in a post on Facebook. It told of her passing. She was in Eternity and suddenly there would be no more visits. I found out too late to attend her funeral. I would have at least liked to have paid my respects to her family.
Do I have regrets? That should probably be a statement, an emphatic statement. Yes, I have regrets. I wonder if I followed THE LORD'S Will each time I spoke with each of them. I wonder if I should have done anything differently but most of all I regret NOT doing. That email or phone call I should have made. That visit I had on my mind to do and never got around to. That tract that maybe I should have given to someone and didn't.
So, "what do you do when?" You have regrets and you go forward and you really do try to do better. With THE LORD'S help we can do better.
That is all that we can do.
Shalom! Pray for the PEACE of Jerusalem!

It was 1972
Yes, it was 1972.
The Vietnam war, the undeclared Vietnam war, was still raging as it had for decades. The war had continued with no apparent winner or loser, but it continued. The players changed. It was the French vs North Vietnam. Then somewhere through the years, the United States stepped in.
The USA was never "in it to win it" and we left with our collective tails tucked between our legs. It was not for lack of trying on the part of our troops, but the lack of commitment from our leaders.
In 1972, I was living and working in the District of Columbia area. I lived in the suburbs with my now ex-husband and worked just a few short blocks from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. For those of you who don't know, the District of Columbia is our nation's capital, Washington, DC and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is otherwise known as The White House or where the President lives.
No, I don't think anyone is stupid. It just looks like people aren't paying attention most of the time.
It was 1972. The troops were trying to come home to return to some sort of normalcy. As they deplaned, many saw the crowds of people waving signs. Some thought they were there to welcome them home. The shouts that reached their ears told a different story. As they neared the crowds, it was confusing and the words that hit their ears were beyond comprehension. They were spat upon and things were thrown at them. The very country that pulled them into serving had thrown them to the wolves and the wolves were ravenous!
They were being called "Baby killers" and worse. Some were put on trial for the massacre of entire villages, including children, pregnant women and the elderly. The country was outraged.
It is 2013.
The country is no longer outraged by children being murdered. It is legal and has been since 1973. For forty years we have systematically murdered an entire generation under the auspices of "helping women" and "planning families."
It was legal when the soldiers were given a gun and sent thousands of miles away and ordered to kill or be killed. They were following orders and they were at war. In most cases it was kill or be killed. Far too often, the children were armed with explosives. The very ones they befriended were being used to kill the GI. Young girls were used to lure them to ambush. And when they broke, when they snapped, they were labeled, tried and convicted. If not by the courts, then by public opinion.
Now, we end the life of a child, without ceremony and without any collective conscience. It is legal to commit murder without fear of reprisal of any kind. Fifty-three million or fifty-five million doesn't seem to matter. After the first thirty or forty million it just becomes numbers and it becomes increasingly difficult to wrap ones mind around the enormity of it all.
Contrary to what the abortionists believe, it will end! It will either end before THE LORD returns or after, but it will end. I, personally, would prefer that it ended right this moment. It is not a right. It is not a choice. It is not a clump of cells destined to become something. It is not an inconvenience.
It is a baby.
Woman, you are human. What you have living within you is human. The child, the boy, the girl is human. You are not having a litter of puppies. You are not hatching eggs. You are unable to produce anything but a human child.
The burden you will bear when the abortion is completed is not for you to bear alone. There are women, like me, who have been there and done that. We have survived. We have moved on. As callous as that may sound, we have to move on. We cannot live in the past but we have to face the facts of what we have done. There is forgiveness. GOD can forgive us. The blood that we have shed is not as great as the Blood that was shed on the Cross of Calvary. We can forgive ourselves because we have no choice. We are not greater than GOD.
Shalom. Pray for the PEACE of Jerusalem.

WOE IS MEE!!!!!!!
There are people on Facebook who whine for help and play the "poor me" card, saying, "NOBODY wants to help me!" or "NOBODY LOVES ME!" They even protest vehemently about about how people take advantage of them and how "NOBODY EVER" even "TRIES" to help them. "NO-body wants to hire me!" "NO-body wants to give me a chance." "I just need to check out now!" and on and on. "NO one wants a good man/woman like me".
I have seen other posts on this same subject (woe is me, no one understands this pity party I'm having). They rant and rave or they expose their quiet despair with a hang-dog expression. I've probably thrown my own pity party. It's generally not on line.
So, if they are related to you, you love them, want the best for them and try to help. Unfortunately, they probably DON'T want the kind of help you have to give, particularly if you are a CHRISTIAN. Why not? Right away they know you stand for something that they are NOT ready to embrace. Immediately they feel judged. Whether or not you have ever said it, they KNOW you would tell them to get off the drugs, quit messing around sexually, and they KNOW that you would tell them the only way to do that is to have a relationship with THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. At least that last part is true. You would tell them they need JESUS (if you haven't already).
Okay, so what's the problem? GOD. The problem is not with others, not with me or you, not with their family or lack thereof. The problem is with GOD. They do not have HIM in their life. Even if they claim to be a "Christian" they do not read their BIBLE daily, if ever. They pray when things get tough or they really, really want something. Then they think GOD doesn't care because HE doesn't answer their prayers. They want GOD to come when they beckon and give them what they want, otherwise, they want nothing to do with HIM. Some even insist HE doesn't exist, that is until they have an emergency.
What should you do? Obviously they don't want your help so all you can do is pray for them to come to their senses and get saved and know the PEACE that comes with a true relationship with THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. AND if by a miracle from GOD, they call you or message you, tell them the truth. Tell them about GOD's love for them and how HE sent HIS ONLY SON to die on the Cross at Calvary for their sins. If GOD brings them that far, HE will bring them the rest of the way.
SHALOM!!
