Monday night is my time to watch Ravi Zacharias. Fantastic preacher!!
As I sat here considering something he said, I found I could apply it
to the current situation regarding the refugees.
How often have
we prayed that Muslims could hear the Gospel and prayed for an opening?
How do we turn away the very ones who need to hear the Gospel the
most?
Will there be terrorists among them? Of course. Is
there a reason, as Christians, to fear? That depends on what we fear.
If we fear what man can do to us, we are in error. Scripture tells us
not to fear man who can only kill the body but to fear the ONE who can
take both body and soul. Many times throughout Scripture we are told,
"Fear not." JESUS adds, "for I am with you."
I'm not totally
over my first reaction to the influx of Muslim refugee/terrorist. I am,
however, trying to listen more to GOD than to my gut. My gut reaction
often passes rather quickly. It has lasted longer this time.
The President has stated we are no longer a Christian nation. I must
say that he has struck a sour note with that one. The problem is that
we, us Christians, have failed to act like the LORD JESUS CHRIST has
taught us. We embrace sin. There is little to no repentance when we
are caught in the very act of sin. We, to the contrary screech, "YOU
CANNOT JUDGE ME!! YOU HYPOCRITE!!" We deny the very facts we claim to
uphold. We Christians send mixed signals to a sin infested world and
wonder why they don't want to listen to us when we tell them about our
Savior and how they should turn from sin, repent, and follow JESUS. OUR
OWN LIVES BARELY REFLECT THAT!
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!
PRAISE HIM ALL CREATURES HERE BELOW!!
PRAISE HIM ALL YE HEAVENLY HOSTS!!
PRAISE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST!!
SHALOM!! Pray for the PEACE of Jerusalem!!!
